What the law protects
It is illegal for an employer to fire, demote, refuse to hire, or otherwise discriminate against you because of pregnancy, childbirth, or a related medical condition.

Under Kentucky and federal law, employers generally must provide reasonable accommodations for limitations related to pregnancy or childbirth, unless doing so would cause an undue hardship. Depending on your situation, that can include:
Your employer generally cannot force you onto leave if you're able to keep working with a reasonable accommodation.
