I was born in Ashland, Kentucky, and I was raised by a single, full-time working mother and a loving grandmother. While many of my colleagues are from a long lineage of lawyers, I am proud to be the first attorney in my family. I am a proud descendant of steelworkers and a multi-generational Eastern Kentucky family, and I work every day to make my blue-color ancestors proud.
As a recognition of that hard work, I have been selected as a Kentucky SuperLawyer Rising Star for the past two years. While it is not common to be recognized so early in the Plaintiff bar, the work I have dedicated myself to has spoken for itself.
Prior to opening my own firm, I practiced for several years with a preeminent Plaintiff's firm in Kentucky. Since that time, I have dedicated myself to creating the ideal, boutique law firm, a place where each client is valued. I actively aim to keep my client list small; this allows me to give my full attention to each matter that comes in front of me.
While I am experienced in all issues that effect blue-color workers, such as discrimination and retaliation, I have a focus on severance contracts and Kentucky Occupational Safety and Health complaints. If you are in the position of ending your employment relationship or have been retaliated against after reporting safety concerns, I am particularly interested in your matter.
